the fix

The whole is greater than the sum of its parts

Developing cosmetics and skincare products in particular is a lot like cooking. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts. If you leave out one ingredient in a recipe it can change the final outcome dramatically. Over the past 20 years I have developed all different categories of products. However, more than any other product line I’ve created, the formulas and quality of ingredients we use in Skinfix products are precisely developed for superior performance and actually do what we say they do. Every ingredient is there for a reason. I’ve been told I’m a great cook by family and friends, but the thing I take pride in most is how I work with the Skinfix chemists and “cook up” recipes that not only help irritated skin using quality natural ingredients, but feel good to use too. When Thomas Dixon formulated the original Skinfix healing balms over 100 years ago, he used natural ingredients that he knew would have a tremendous impact on irritated skin. He also wasn’t light handed with using them either. He didn’t sprinkle in just a few drops, but used very high levels of natural emollient oils, minerals and botanicals. Each ingredient had a purpose and in the end worked in harmony. Today, we take our cue from Thomas Dixon and continue formulating skincare recipes using the highest quality natural ingredients at levels that actually do something for the skin. For me, these are the recipes and products I am most proud of and plan on using myself years to come.   By Francine Krenicki, our Senior Vice President of Product Development here at Skinfix
