We had the pleasure of participating in the Itching for a Cure Walk with the National Eczema Association on Sunday October 2nd at the beautiful UCLA campus. We felt incredibly fortunate to meet some of the families affected by eczema and hear stories about their journey to healing. Since our Soothing Collection is formulated specifically for people living with eczema and dry skin conditions, we distributed samples of Eczema Balm and spoke to the participants about skin ways to keep their skin barrier healthy. There were lots of hugs and tears as we heard compelling stories from people whose lives have been profoundly affected by eczema. The damaging side effects of low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, pain and discomfort were common for most people. Seeing babies and young children with peeling skin on their little cheeks, arms and bodies, speaking with distraught parents and meeting people who haven’t been able to work and are on disability made us realize that what we do every single day, is really making a difference. A big thank you to the NEA for putting on such an important event. Until next year!
